Jehan Numa Retreat is a 12.5-acre boutique resort on Dr. Salim Ali Road, bordering Van Vihar National Park, about 9 km from Bhopal’s railway station. It was built without cutting down any trees. Its 28 suites of 675 sq. ft. sit in six bird-named cottage clusters, each with a private deck opening onto the greenery, and no room overlooks another. Guests can dine at Under the Jamun Tree for royal Bhopali barbecue, The Coriander Leaf for Euro-Mediterranean food, or the Green House Bistro, using vegetables from the resort’s organic garden. The Chakra Spa, outdoor pool, fitness centre and golf green support a slow, nature-led stay, and the Jasmine Room hosts small weddings and corporate offsites.
