The temple is traditionally associated with Lord Hanuman, while the complex also contains images of Ram, Lakshman and Sita, Shiva, Ganesha and other deities.
Historical accounts connect its establishment with 1840, when a temple dedicated to Hanuman was established at the site after land was allotted during the reign of Nawab Jahangir Muhammad Khan.
A 2024 site inspection also documented four temple structures within the premises, including a Hanuman temple in the centre.
