Overlooking Bhopal’s Upper Lake (Bada Talaab), Taj Lakefront is the city’s flagship Taj address, launched by IHCL in late 2021. Its 152 rooms and suites (142 rooms and 10 suites) face either the lake or the hills. The interiors pair contemporary design with regional craft, including Tikamgarh bell metal, Bhopal zari, Bagh prints and Sironj durries. Guests can dine at Machan and House of Ming, have cocktails at the rooftop Infinity Sky Lounge, or unwind at the J Wellness Circle spa. The hotel also has an infinity-edge pool, a kids’ pool, a fitness centre and banquet spaces for weddings and conferences. Van Vihar National Park and the Museum of Man are a short drive away, so it works as a base for both leisure and business stays.
