Barkatullah University is a public, state university in Bhopal, established in 1970 as the University of Bhopal and renamed in 1988 in memory of Maulana Barkatullah, a freedom fighter from Bhopal. Spread across a residential campus of roughly 360 to 400 acres on Hoshangabad Road (NH-12), about 3 km from Rani Kamalapati (Habibganj) Railway Station, it is both a teaching institution with its own departments and an affiliating university overseeing colleges across eight districts: Bhopal, Sehore, Vidisha, Raisen, Hoshangabad, Harda, Betul and Rajgarh. It offers a wide spread of programs across Arts, Social Science, Science, Life Science, Engineering, Law, Commerce, Education, Physical Education, Technology, Home Science and Management, at undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma and doctoral levels. Its Institute of Open and Distance Education, set up in 1974–75, extends access to students who can’t attend regular classes. The campus houses the Vice-Chancellor’s residence, staff quarters, and separate hostels for boys and girls.

Not officially published in my sources. Government university offices in Madhya Pradesh typically operate on weekdays during standard business hours; confirm exact timings with the university.
Fee range
Varies significantly by course and level (tuition, registration, hostel and mess charges, and other one-time fees all factor in). I found no single confirmed figure; Shiksha’s course-fee tables suggest fees differ widely across the many UG, PG and professional programs offered. Please check the university’s official fee structure for your specific course.
